Friends in Phoenix

On our trek toward California we’ve been lucky enough to have several hospitable friends that let us crash at their places. In Phoenix, we met up with some friends from West Africa.

I went to boarding school with Nathan back in the 90s and remember how eager he was to learn anything & everything computer related from me (mostly MS-DOS related I believe). Now Nathan is a Linux guru and musician (follow him @nathanrhale and hear his tunes at http://nathanrhale.bandcamp.com/). He and his wife Amber have a beautiful little boy that Trey was quite fond of tickling. Amber was my neighbor in Abidjan, Ivory Coast for several years and also went to the same boarding school with us.

Thanks to Amber & Nathan for giving us a place to sleep & shower. And a big thanks for introducing us to Pei Wei and letting Trey play your video games.
